It has been a fantastic start to the year here at Wilkins Vardy. We’re still the most popular agent in Chesterfield, with 43 new properties in the first month of this year alone: six more than our closest competitor. We also agreed 36 sales in our Chesterfield office, with a further 10 sales in Clay Cross and eight in Bolsover. In fact, our total sales are up by 12 since this time last year!
The good news isn’t just offline though! Rightmove, which tracks 90% of the UK property market, say there’s been a busy start to 2018. They say that they’ve seen 4 million visits a day to its site, which is up by nearly a tenth on last year.
This isn’t just good news for the property market. It’s also good news if you’re selling, or wanting to sell, your house. We advertise our properties on Rightmove which means that, with more site visitors, buyers are much more likely to see your property. That means the potential for more viewings, which means you’re more likely to get an offer in a shorter space of time.
We’re not all about the numbers here at Wilkins Vardy, though! We know that buying a property, for whatever reason, can be very stressful. A lot of that stress is because you’re unsure of how best to proceed so we’ve decided to hold a series of advice evenings in our Chesterfield office. We’ll confirm closer to the time but here are our provisional dates for your diary:
First Time Buyer evening – Tuesday 10th April
Investor evening – Tuesday 12th June
Empty Nesters evening – Tuesday 7th August
First Time Buyer evening – Tuesday 13th November
You might know that, last year, we raised money for three charities: Chesterfield Shoebox Appeal, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and MacMillan. This year, we’re going to continue to ensure the Chesterfield Shoebox Appeal can continue their fantastic work as well as choose another charity to support this year. Naturally, we’ll keep you updated!
As you can see, we’ve had an exciting start to the year at Wilkins Vardy whilst also planning some exciting things for the year ahead. We’ll let you know what’s happening every single step of the way but, in the meantime, you can feel free to call us on 01246 270123 with any queries you may have. We can also be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org, where one of us will always get back to you.
